   
Baby Shower Food
I will be giving you some tips, which will help you provide
with the best baby shower food to serve, to your special
guests. Food is an important part of the party; it will set the
tone for mingling and show the guest of honor you care. When
organizing a baby shower for a loved one, keep it simple and
fun. Take time to consult the mother-to-be and ask her, whom
she wishes to invite, what gifts she still desires, what games
to play and the type of food she enjoys.
Main Entree Finger Food and Snacks
When you server finger food at the beginning of the party,
it will encourage your guests to mingle and get to know one
another. Listed below are finger foods that I recommend.
1. Vegetable tray served with a dip dressing. Some ideas to
get you started. Carrots, Broccoli, Snap peas,
cherry tomatoes, Cucumbers, and Celery. Serve with Ranch
dressing dip.
2. Serve flour tortilla roll-ups. On the flour tortilla,
spread cream cheese and chive mixture, adding a meat of
choice with lettuce and tomatoes. Then roll up flour tortilla
as tight as possible, then cut and serve.
3. Celery sticks filled with peanut butter or cream
cheese.
4. Cubed meat cold cuts and cubed cheese, served with
toothpicks for easy munching.
5. Pre-made sandwiches cut in bite size servings.
6. Pigs in a blanket, Little Smokies rolled up in dough and
cooked until golden brown.
7. Pizza bites, you can find these in the frozen section
they are miniature pizza rolls made to eat with your
hands. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
8. Egg rolls served with soy sauce for dipping.
9. Bite size fruit tray, grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe,
honeydew, strawberries, etc.
10. Pub mix purchased in bulk at Costco.
11. Homemade trail mix, cashews, party peanuts, raisins,
Almonds, Macadamia nuts, dried pineapple, etc.
12. Cream cheese and chive cheese ball served with specialty
crackers.
13. Spinach artichoke dip served with homemade bread.
Even if you serve the traditional cake with your baby shower
food, it is good practice to serve, other dessert options. I
will list some ideas below.
1. Brownies, use cookie cutter then sprinkled powdered sugar
inside of cookie cutter while on the brownie, to
make fun designs in your party theme.
2. Lemon bars, decorated with chocolate icing put one letter
of the alphabet on each square.
3. Cup cakes with colored icing animal crackers put on
top.
4. Decorate sugar cookies, with the baby shower food
theme.
5. Truffles
6. Lady finger cookies
7. Banana cream pie with Nilla wafers.
When selecting baby shower food, choose a theme and select
foods that will go with your theme. Throwing a baby shower will
be fun and enjoyable, once you have selected a theme choose
food items that fit your theme. The mother-to-be will be
grateful for all your hard work and effort.
